Bay Mills Resort & Casinos is a resort and casino complex in Brimley, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Superior’s Waiska Bay.

It features two casinos, including the Kings Club Casino, which opened on July 4, 1984, as the first legal Native American casino in the country. It was originally called the Bay Mills Blackjack Casino.

The Bay Mills casino and hotel opened in November 1995 just two miles down the shore. Bay Mills Resort & Casinos is owned and operated by the Bay Mills Indian Community.

Bay Mills Resort & Casinos features 17,000 square feet of gaming space with around 700 slots and a dozen table games. There are multiple restaurants on the property, an RV park, and a hotel with 144 rooms. Kings Club features 280 slots, a full service bar and the Chums Cafe restaurant.

In December 2019, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed sports betting and online gambling bills into law. The BMIC entered into an agreement with DraftKings for its online sportsbook and casino operations. The digital sports giant also plans to operate a retail sportsbook location at Bay Mills.

Kings Club Casino closed in the spring for the pandemic and has not reopened.
